    Pre-conception care

Don’t wait until you have a diagnosed medical condition or experience the stress and difficulties of conceiving. Preparing your body with good health, nutritition and balanced hormones at least four months prior to trying to conceive can prevent many future difficulties and more than anything this time will be of great benefit to the health of a baby. There are no guarantees, but preparation may prevent a lot of stress and disappointment later on. The sperm and the egg are cells and all cells in the body benefit from good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. Such a small price for such a short time.

Many couples wait to feel settled and secure in their lives and careers before starting a family and this often means they are older when trying to conceive. It is vitally important to be prepared, informed and as healthy as you can be. Learn all about your hormones, the menstrual cycle and the best times to conceive.

Usually, both partners are present for the first consultation, which can take several hours. All herbal medicines and treatments are dispensed on an individual basis. Follow-up appointments are at three to eight week intervals.

It may be necessary for you to be referred to your GP for blood tests, scans or other diagnostic tests as part of the pre-conception care process.

    Perimenopause, menopause and premenstrual syndrome

Premenstrual, perimenopause and menopausal symptoms often interfere with our lives on a daily basis. Even though these are usually natural experiences for most women, it does not mean we have to endure the uncomfortable side effects. Hot flushes, sleeplessness, premenstrual tension, mood swings, heavy, absent or painful menstruation are some of the many symptoms that can occur with hormone imbalances.

The Initial Consultation usually takes approximately one hour and follow-up consultations are at three to eight week intervals. Call the Jacaranda Natural Health Centre today to find out more about the herbal medicines and support available to you.
