have always been interested in helping people, originally training as a Registered Nurse then as a Western Herbalist and Natural Fertility Practitioner. I commenced herbal medicine practice in 1989 in Sydney, and relocated to Coffs Harbour in 2008.
It has been my absolute pleasure and a very humbling experience to see so many beautiful, healthy babies born over the many years of practice. I am not saying the fertility journey will be the same for everyone and sadly for some, achieving a successful conception and pregnancy can be difficult.
What I can promise, is I will walk every step of the way with you, collaborating at all times with other health professionals and never giving up on the ultimate goal of assisting you to achieve what you most desire from your fertility journey.
For some couples, the reason for fertility difficulties may never be fully understood and the preconception trimester (the period of preparation before conception) can take a lot longer than first anticipated.
This being said, it doesn't mean it won't happen. Your path to conceiving may be more convoluted than you wish but research tells us, very few couples are actually sterile/infertile. Never give up!!! I have witnessed first hand the tenacity and strength of so many people who have pushed through when it all seemed hopeless to eventually achieve a healthy baby. Thankfully all pre-baby sadness slips away and is forgotten.
Appointments
It is optimal but not completely necessary for both partners to attend the initial appointment. It takes 2 people to make a baby and it all starts with the egg and the sperm in unison. It has been my experience that some male partners don't always understand the import role they play in conception. I hope one day soon this changes.
Due to running a busy practice it may take a little while to access an appointment which I know can be frustrating and at times disappointing when you may feel the pressure of age or just the desire to have a baby. I ask you to be patient with me and know that I will make an available time to see you as soon as is possible as I run a very active waitlist.
It may be necessary to be referred to your GP for blood tests, scans or other diagnostic tests as part of the initial gathering of your fertility and general health information.
